A professional dancer for over 20 years, Caroline Sicard practically grew up on stage and has become an accomplished dancer well versed in a repertoire of styles ranging from ballet, modern, contemporary and commercial. She has worked with cutting edge productions (Cirque du Soleil, Dragone, Celine Dion Angelil Production, AEG and Resort World Sentosa) performing in North America, Europe and Asia. Caroline is a well-traveled performer who adapts quickly to different production environments and culture. She also conceptualize, create, choreograph and is currently the Assistant Artistic Direction for Cirque du Soleil’s touring show Amaluna.
In the United States where Caroline spent a big part of her career, she was a dancer in Las Vegas at the Caesar’s Palace in Celine Dion’s spectacular: A New Day, choreographed by Emmy Winner, Mia Michaels, and directed by internationally acclaimed Franco Dragone. She can be seen on the worldwide released DVD of the show. She then joined Cirque du Soleil as a Dancer for Viva ELVIS, choreographed by Tabitha and Napoleon D’Umo, and directed by Vincent Paterson at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. She also participates in special events for the company.
In Canada, Caroline had the pleasure of having worked with the acclaimed director Robert Lepage in his opera The Damnation Of Faust, choreographed by Johane Madore (Installed in the Grand Theatre de Quebec, Quebec), and in Aida by L’Opera de Montreal (Place des Arts, Montreal). She was also a soloist in La Traviata by Opera Lyra, (National Art Center, Ottawa). Caroline also performed with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal, and the National Ballet of Canada in classical, and contemporary repertoire such as: The Nutcracker, Giselle, Four Temperaments, Sleeping Beauty, to name a few. She performed in works from Balanchine to Ohad Naharin, and Nacho Duato.
In the World Music Awards, music videos, and television shows, Caroline has performed with many stars including Oprah Winfrey, Sir Richard Branson, Justin Timberlake, Jerry Lewis, and Veronique Dicaire.
Offstage, she collaborates with experimental filmmaker and multimedia artist, Paolo A. Santos; as a producer, choreographer, artistic coordinator and movement coach for other dancers, actors, acrobats and musical artists. She was also a co-founder for Creative Hemisphere Productions Inc., which produced multi-media shows and events in Las Vegas, Nevada, Malibu, and Pasadena, California. These events were supported by luminaries such as, actors: Leonardo DiCaprio (Honorary Event Chairperson), Darryl Hannah (guest of honours), Jason Scott Lee, Penelope Anne Miller, James Whitmore Sr. and Hollywood producer Gale Anne Hurd (Sponsor) for the United Nations Coral Reef Monitoring program ReefCheck Foundation.
Earlier in her career, Caroline had been the recipient of several grants from Canada’s reputable Banff Center for the Arts in recognition of her outstanding abilities in dance. Caroline was also one of the few invited individuals (along with Celine Dion’s musical director, Claude Lemay) to an event in Los Angeles by the Quebec representative, for being recognized as a successful Quebecker artist outside of the province.
