Originally from British Columbia Canada, energetic and passionate for movement, Jamie Malysh completed the program in dance-interpretation at L’École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, QC, Canada.  The program allowed her to discover different systems of movement, expand her dance technique as well as have the opportunity to work with world renowned teachers and choreographers such as, Ginette Laurin, Catherine Gaudet, Ismaël Mouaraki, Belinda Mcguire, Sasha Ivanochko, Virginie Brunelle, Roger Sinha, Jamie Wright.

This past year she began and completed a full length solo choreographed by Neil Sochasky.  The work, Dance(s) Together, was inspired by a need to create and present work that everyone can relate to. She presented it in Melbourne this past July at The Space.

Jamie has danced with Sinha Danse Company participating in Project Mow!, as well as the new creation, e-razed.  This past July she took part in the One Body, One Career, Countertechnique intensive at Chunky Move Studios in Melbourne, Australia.  Her goal is to keep exploring the technique within her own practice.

Jamie continues to teach at Tyler Anne’s School of Dance, preparing the next generation of dancers.  Her future ambitions include beginning her own dance projects, focusing on the richness of the creation process and how it deepens the interpreter.
