Call for Projects: LABdiff 2025-2026
The LABdiff is a laboratory designed to provide space for the creative research process and its transformations. The aim is to showcase work in progress, highlight artistic approaches, experiments, risks, and mistakes, and share these stages of research and creation with an audience.
There are three distinct phases:
- Research and creation (an individual dry residency)
- Technical exploration (a one-week individual technical residency)
- Sharing the process with the public
LABdiff evenings will feature two short-form performances presented over three nights (with limited technical support, in an open space, without bleachers).
This call for projects is open to:
- Local artists, or Canadian artists able to cover their expenses and be available during the residencies
- Emerging professional artists or collectives in the field of choreography
- Emerging interdisciplinary artist collectives involving dancers
- Projects must have completed an initial research and/or creation phase.
Application deadline: November 3, 2024, at midnight.
