Dancer, Choreographer, Instructor
Born in Maple Ridge, BC, Hannah-Jane attended the School of Alberta Ballet in 2012. In 2014, she began training at Arts Umbrella, and completed Arts Umbrella’s Graduate Program in 2018, under the direction of Artemis Gordon. She worked with Crystal Pite, James Kudelka, Lesley Telford, Wen Wei Wang, among others. Hannah-Jane toured Europe with the Arts Umbrella Dance Company and took part in the ITS Festival and NDT’s Shortcuts XL’17. Hannah-Jane participated in summer intensives at the École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec (ESBQ), Netherlands Dans Theater (NDT), Collective Composition Lab and Preparing the Groundat the Banff Center. This year, Hannah-Jane was part of the Performance Research Project (PReP), under the guidance of Lesley Telford, where she had the opportunity to work with Ballet BC and perform Medhi Walerski’s Romeo and Juliet . Since moving to Montreal, Hannah-Jane has been working with Véronique Giasson and The Bulbe Collective, in preparation for Festival Quartiers Danses.
