Biographie
Tal Aronson is an independent contemporary dancer and holds a BFA in Dance from Ryerson University. Residing in Montreal, she is currently working with emerging choreographer Lara Kramer on her project “Fragments,” a work dedicated to highlighting the stories of and the horrors experienced by the survivors of the Canadian Indian Residential School system. Tal danced with the OMO Dance Company for 5 seasons. She toured with the company to Macedonia, performing in the critically acclaimed “Planetarium” alongside members of the Macedonian National Ballet. Tal was a featured dancer in the Dora nominated “Homo Office Sapiensis,” and “Diary of an Exile.” Ms. Aronson is a founding member of the repertoire-based collective, IDAC (Integrated Dance Artists Collective). With IDAC, she has performed in work by choreographers Heidi Strauss, Darryl Tracy, David Earle and Meagan O’Shea. Tal performed in and co-produced IDAC’s 2007 show “side [a]ffects” at Toronto’s Winchester Street Theatre. Ms. Aronson's professional training began at the Quinte Ballet School as a residential student. At Quinte Tal trained extensively with Artistic Director Brian Scott, as well as former Ballet Master and Mistress of the National Ballet of Canada David Scott and Joanne Nisbet. Upon graduation, she enrolled in Ryerson University’s Theatre School. At Ryerson, Tal trained with former National Ballet of Canada principal dancer Nadia Potts, and former member of the Toronto Dance Theatre, Karen Duplisea. Tal was also able to work in creation at Ryerson with choreographers Coralee McLaren, Robert Desrosiers and Debbie Wilson. Upon graduation from the Diploma program at Ryerson, Tal was invited to join Debbie Wilson’s OMO Dance Company
