Classes de ballet avec Lisa Davies - Danse à la Carte

My classes aim to warm up the joints and muscles while focusing on core strength, alignment, breathe, coordination and length of lines. I like to approach the refinement and understanding of ballet technique from the inside out versus the outside in - anchoring the priority in the class with connecting to the sensation of movement and dance within the framework of classical ballet rather than allowing the mirror to dictate and trap dancers into a series of classical positions and poses, thus forgetting to dance. I welcome and enjoy having dancers of all dance backgrounds in my drop in classes. Ballet is an invaluable tool for current and retired dancers from all dance backgrounds.
